What You’ll Do:
As a Refrigeration Service Technician, you’ll take on advanced service and maintenance tasks for commercial refrigeration systems. Your role will include:
- Diagnosing and repairing complex commercial refrigeration systems, including compressors, condensers, evaporators, and control systems, i.e. ice machines, walk-in coolers and freezers, reach-in coolers and freezers, glycol systems.
- Conducting preventive maintenance and ensuring systems operate at peak performance.
- Installing and commissioning new refrigeration equipment, calibrating controls, and verifying functionality.
- Performing refrigerant recovery, leak testing, and compliance tasks in line with EPA standards.
- Providing expert technical support and recommendations to customers for system improvements.
- Maintaining detailed service records and documentation for every job.

What We’re Looking For:
- Experience: At least 3 years of experience in commercial refrigeration.
- Certifications: EPA Section 608 Certification (Universal) is required.
- Skills: Strong troubleshooting abilities, advanced technical knowledge, and proficiency with diagnostic tools, ability to read and use schematics to diagnose issues.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; technical/trade school certification is preferred.
- Physical Ability: Capable of lifting 75 pounds and working in various environments, including cold storage, rooftops, and tight spaces.
Work Environment:
You’ll work on-site at client locations, sometimes in extreme temperatures or tight spaces, ensuring systems run safely and efficiently. On-call hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, may be required.
